As I toss and turn all night, I am beginning to question the intelligence of this move. Why, oh why, did I do this? Why have I put myself through this? This is a lifetime of change--nothing will ever be the same. Why am I taking on pain and gas and more pain?
On a positive note, "all systems are go". When one has surgery, the anesthesia causes biological systems to shut down. When one awakes from surgery, all systems don't "wake up" simultaneously. Inasmuch as I haven't had solid food in nearly a week, my digestive system was pretty slow coming back, but today, I'm back on track. Yay!
I'm sure that a few weeks from now, I'll be feeling better. But tonight I'm still feeling buyer's remorse.
This is common, I think. Mama says that she remembers her coworker (Amy) saying the same thing when she had her procedure. Ugh.
